Everything you need to know about the workshop

Yes. This is the official Art & Science of Love weekend workshop authorized by the Gottman Institute. It uses the curriculum developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman and is led by a Certified Gottman Therapist.
Your workshop will be led by Elizabeth Shoop, LMHC, a Certified Gottman Therapist who specializes in couples therapy. Elizabeth brings years of experience helping couples build connection and resolve conflict using Gottman Method principles.
The event takes place at Hampton Inn in Spokane, WA

Hampton Inn offers free airport transportation and discounted rooms for participants.
This workshop is suitable for couples at all stages. However, if you're facing active addiction, domestic violence, or a severe mental health crisis, private therapy is recommended before attending.
No. All exercises are done privately between you and your partner. There is no group sharing or public disclosure involved.
13.5 CE hours are available for this workshop.

In order to receive CE’s participants must have paid registration fees, signed in, attended the entire seminar, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.

National Marriage Seminars of America is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. National Marriage Seminars of America maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Counselors/Marriage and Family Therapists/Mental Health Counselors Nearly all Professional Counselors, MFT and Mental Health Counselors, and LCSW (in some states) boards accept APA. Check with your board to be sure.

Cancellations made at least three weeks before the workshop will receive a full refund minus a $100 processing fee. After that, your registration will convert to a credit valid for any future workshop within the next 12 months.

This workshop is psycho-educational and not therapy. All information gathered during the registration process is confidential. There is no group work or public disclosure other than the voluntary questions that participants ask during the workshop.
